The terminal, situated on Molo delle Casse in the port of Savona, is dedicated to the storage and handling of liquid bulk third party,in particular edible vegetable oils and vegetables oil for industrial or energetic purpose, fat acid methyl ester and wine.
The plant, recently built and still expanding, currently has 33 tanks on stainless steel, with a capacity of between 400 and 1,200 m3 for a total capacity of ca. 28.500 m3; 19 tanks, equipped with heating coils served by a steam boiler, are suitable to contain products with high freezing point.
The product can be handled either by sea (thanks to 3 lines of 6’’ and 1 line of 8’’ connecting the tanks to the Darsena Alti Fondali), and by train (thanks to 2 lines of 6’’) and by tanker trucks.
