Three-year Operational Plan
The Three-year Operational Plan is the planning tool deployed by the Port Authority to implement the overall port strategies across an itemisation of the key projects to be phased in and a recommendation of the guidelines to be followed over the forthcoming three years.
The core topics which feature in the Three-year Operational Plan include:
- Planning policy of the Port Authority, which embraces the preparation of the new Masterplans;
- Port labour;
- Port infrastructure investment programme;
- Port digitalisation;
- Action plan in relation to EU transport policies;
- Development of logistic management systems;
- Protection of the environment and port sustainability.
The major infrastructure works to be phased in across the three- year 2023 – 2025 period include:
- Construction of the new open-sea breakwater in the Sampierdarena basin;
- Growth capacity at the Ports of Genoa-Savona-Vado Ligure;
- Upgrade of last-mile road and rail links;
- Maintenance works across the ports to guarantee the safety, reliability, and sustainability of infrastructures.
