President Paolo Emilio Signorini received at Palazzo San Giorgio, the historical headquarters of the Port Authority, the Ambassador to Algeria in Italy, Abdelkrim Touahria, during an official visit to Genoa.
The meeting provided the high-ranking delegation with the opportunity to announce officially the launch of the new summer passenger ferry service, operated by ENTMV Algérie Ferries, from the Port of Genoa. The Liguria Region capital is scheduled to offer crossings to/from the capital Algiers and the east coast city of Annata, to cater for the increasing demand on the part of Algerian residents in Italy and other EU member-states.
Ambassador Touahria was flanked by the Consul General of Milano, Abdel Talbi, and by senior management of CNAN Italy and Genova, as general agent for the national shipping line of Algeria. The meeting was followed by a site inspection of the cruise and ferry terminals, accompanied by the President Edoardo Monzani and the CEO Alberto Minoia of Stazioni Marittime.
