The historic quay of Calata Zingari is set to reopen in August to accommodate the cruise ships in Genoa’s passenger port.

Construction works at Calata Zingari are on track for completion to supply the terminal operator Stazioni Marittime with a restructured dock, equipped with 3 new 100-ton mooring bollards, and a renovated adjacent area deployed for the provision of cruise passenger amenities, including baggage handling and ship supply services. The refurbishment of the quaywall foresees the preservation of the original exposed brickwork of the dock which dates from the turn of the 20th century.
