The demolition works of the pierhead in the berthing marina along the Levante Waterfront have been completed.

The project forms part of the extensive plan to upgrade access to the refit and repair shipyard equipped to serve super and mega-yachts in Genoa.
The demolition of a portion of the pierhead and completion of dredging works have paved the way for the expansion of the navigation channel into the Amico & Co. shipyard which features a new state-of-the-art 4000 t.-Shiplift, catering for the latest generation of superyachts.

The works completed are also instrumental in the construction of the New Port Control Tower to be located on an artificial island facing the marina in the Levante Waterfront. The 60-metre steel tower, designed by Renzo Piano, will overlook the total Port of Genoa area.
