The Cesare Imperiale waterfront promenade, which cuts along Genoa's cruise port, officially opens to passengers following the completion of extensive refurbishment works.

The panoramic 300-metre walk connects Ponte dei Mille to Ponte Andrea Doria in Stazioni Marittime's cruise terminal area, accessed annually by the 1.7 million passengers who choose Genoa as a cruise destination.

The retrofitting activities have been designed to upgrade resistance in the road-bridge across cutting-edge techniques, including the insertion of steel beams and girders, in addition to providing for the installation of new underground public utility service conduits and a renewed irrigation system. The promenade, lined with stylish tempered glass barriers and lounge chairs and a sequence of flower beds showcasing the typical botanical biodiversity of the Mediterranean, offers cruise passengers a stunning exclusive view of Genoa's old port, a fitting celebration of the city's prodigious seafaring past.
