Memorandum of Understanding signed with Baku International Sea Trade Port

A Memorandum of Understanding between the Western Ligurian Sea Port Authority and the state-owned company responsible for the management and operation of the Port of Baku was signed during the Italy-Azerbaijan Business Forum held at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Headquarters in Rome. The summit was inaugurated by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, on a State visit to Italy, and the Italian Foreign Minister, Luigi Di Maio

Rome, 21 February 2020 - The scope of the collaboration is to foster the development of trade and integrated maritime and rail logistic services between both ports, and to promote know-how and best practices in the management of the supply chain, ICT, training programmes and in the implementation of innovative port policies aimed at environmental sustainability.
