Vado Gateway becomes operational

With the arrival of Maersk Kotka, Vado Gateway terminal becomes operational and can to date accommodate the Ultra Large Container Vessels

Vado Ligure, 11 February 2020 - Once the full quay extension is available, the facility will be equipped to handle approximately 900,000 teus annually.
The Kotka containership is the first of the seven vessels of the Maersk ME2 service to call at the new operation in Vado Ligure, linking the Mediterranean with the Middle East and India.
