Vado Gateway welcomes the first containership

This morning Maersk Line's AS Palina docked at Vado Gateway terminal, the 2,500-teu containership deployed in the renamed Carmed liner service which offers sailings from the Italian Ports of Vado Ligure, Leghorn, Civitavecchia, Naples and Salerno to Central Amercia (Cartagena, Puerto Moin e Manzanillo)

Vado Ligure, 17 December 2019 - The liner service, which formerly departed from the adjacent Reefer Terminal (also part of the APM Terminals Vado Ligure group) with fruit transported in reefer containers from Central-South America, commences a trial period from Vado Gateway.

Maersk Line has already announced its plans to transfer to Vado Ligure, as of February 2020, the ME2 service connecting the Mediterranean with the Middle East and India, and the regular liner service renamed MMX, which offers sailings between the Mediterranean and Canada.
