Today, the Eurocraft Shipyard in Vado Ligure was at the heart of the launching ceremony of the Porto Vado X, the new specialised response vessel dedicated to oil tankers and offshore environmental services, commissioned by Transmare, the technical nautical service provider to the Ports of Savona and Vado Ligure.
16 January 2024 - The 24-metre tugboat, built entirely at the local shipyards, has a double hull and can operate in open water and high seas. The Porto Vado X is equipped with advanced technological pollutant recovery systems and, thanks to significant storage capacity, is also able to accommodate up to 150 tons of cargo and 4 containers on deck. These technical specifications bolster the dual function of the vessel in providing a selection of operational services to tankers at sea and the full range of environmental response services.
The Porto Vado X is the tenth vessel commissioned by Transmare, established in Vado Ligure in 1977, with a fleet of twenty boats and a team of forty experienced technicians.
