Costa Cruises has opened up Terminal 2 of Palacrociere, in response to the nationwide Italian Silver Vaccination Day campaign, following an agreement undersigned by the local public health authority, ASL 2 Savona, and the cruise terminal operator Costa Crociere. The agreement was forged by the Liguria Region, with the support of the Western Ligurian Sea Port Authority, City of Savona, Harbour Master, Customs Authority, Border Police Control and U.M.A.A.F.

The President of the Port Authority, Paolo Emilio Signorini, and the Mayor of Genoa, Marco Bucci, accompanied by the local Councillor for Port Development of the City of Genoa, Francesco Maresca, inspected the Dunes site along the south bank of the Port of Prà Canal to view the progress of the construction works underway in the new Urban Park.

The Italian Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, Paola De Micheli, has officially nominated Paolo Emilio Signorini, President of the Western Ligurian Sea Port Authority. This will be Signorini's second term of office at the helm of the Ports of Genova, Prà, Savona and Vado. The Ministerial Decree n.601 ratifies the Port President's four-year mandate as of 29 December 2020.
The Ports of Genova, Prà, Savona and Vado reported total cargo volumes (excluding industrial products) of 5,211723 tons in October 2020, a -4.9% dip compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, but a +21.7% increase on September 2020, and a fall of -15.5% on the first ten months of 2019, registering a total of 46,450,041 tons.
PSA Genova Pra' inaugurated on 30 November two new rail terminal container handling cranes, which offer high precision positioning and reduced energy consumption. The cranes are equipped with user-friendly interface, including remote diagnostics and monitoring, for improved performance and emergency management, thereby increasing safety and efficiency levels.
