Vado Ligure, 13 June 2019 - The three ship-to-shore cranes will join a STS and the first batch of four automated gantry cranes which have already been installed in the new Vado Gateway Terminal, delivered by the Shanghai-listed equipment manufacturer Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries Co. Ltd (ZPMC). The complex installation will be followed by a series of tests to be completed in several months.
The technical specifications of this latest acquisition are staggering: the mammoth cranes are over 90 m. high, weigh approximately 1,800 t. and are capable of working vessels with containers stowed 23-wide on deck. The lifting capacity is 65 t. in twin-lift configuration and 100 t. in under hook configuration.
