Once again the integrated environmental and quality management systems of the Western Ligurian Sea Port Authority have been successfully certified, in compliance with ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 9001:2015 requirements, following the audit and focus visit carried out by Certiquality S.r.l. on 12, 13 and 14 October.
The certifying body pinpointed, in particular, the strong performance of the Ports of Genoa in risk and opportunity analysis and management processes, and the high level of motivation of personnel, as emerged from the interviews and inspections conducted on-site. In addition, as established from an analysis of the updated strategic plans submitted by the Port Authority, the increasingly strategic role played by the Port Authority in scaling up action in digitalisation, energy efficiency and environmental sustainability of port activities was highlighted.
The successful quality and environmental recertification audit anticipates the forthcoming official presentation of the first edition of the Ports of Genoa Sustainability Report which reaffirms the Ports of Genoa, Savona and Vado Ligure's ongoing commitment to sustainable development.
