Since the merger of the Port Authorities of Genoa and Savona-Vado Ligure, the new Western Ligurian Sea Port Authority has created a framework for the elaboration of joint procedures and objectives, whilst simultaneously preserving compliance with the specifications of the two distinct territorial environments.

The Ports Authority has, in fact, successfully embarked on a path to consolidate the improvement of water and air quality, energy efficiency and the reduction of noise emission levels across the Ports of Genoa and Savona-Vado.

In 2023 the Western Ligurian Sea Port Authority passed the audit for the renewal of ISO 1400:2015 environmental management certification and for the extension of ISO 9001:2015 quality management certification to the entire organisation.

Accreditation was conducted by the certifying body Certiquality S.r.l.
