The Portal

Created with the aim of fostering knowledge and information on port work and labour issues, the Portal is a virtual meeting place for citizens, companies and operators (public and private) alike.

The sections analyse, also across the Port Organisational Plan, the current labour market scenario, manpower needs and future prospects, occupational health and safety, the role of the terminal operating companies, the economic and social impact of the port supply chain, an indication of the main players in the labour supply, training courses on offer and the regulatory framework governing port work.

The goals set by the Port Work Portal are in line with the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development (SDGs), specifically, Goal No. 8 to "promote lasting, inclusive and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment, and decent work for all", and Goal No. 4 "provide quality, equitable and inclusive education and learning opportunities for all".
