Theporti di Genova e Savona are strongly connected to the logistics and transportation network both in terms of infrastructure and technology, due to the presence of IT systems that enable information sharing among supply chain stakeholders, streamline processes, and enhance the efficiency and security of goods movement between the port and the hinterland, in line with the directives of the National Plan for Ports and Logistics.

The Port Community System of the Western Ligurian Sea Port Authority provides a framework for the digitisation, interchange, and document tracking of processes, along with the synchronisation of authoritative, commercial, and operational functions associated with the import, export, and transhipment of goods via the logistics hubs linked to the ports of Genoa Prà, Savona and Vado Ligure.
