OperatorCompany

Stazioni Marittime S.p.A was established in 1987 to plan, construct and operate the passenger terminals in the Port of Genoa.

The company manages five passengers terminals: two purpose-built terminals at Ponte dei Mille and Ponte Andrea Doria are dedicated to cruise traffic, whilst three terminals, at Calata Chiappella, Ponte Caracciolo and Ponte Colombo, are primarily used for ferry traffic. In total, the sites cover approximately 290,000 sqm of surface area, offering 12 berths, along 3000 metres of quays.

The sizable investments made over the years by both the Port Authority and the terminal operator to extend and expand the dock area, optimise direct road links, refurbish terminal buildings and construct new purpose-built infrastructure, have firmly established Genoa as a leading Mediterranean cruise and ferry hub.

Access to the terminals is easy as the passenger port is located just 5 km from Genova City Airport and 200 m from the mainline railway station, with direct on-site road links to the motorway network. All Stazioni Marittime-managed terminals are at the forefront of safety and security measures, adhering to all recent strict IMO and EU regulations.

Maritime StationsCruises

Genoa is today a top destination port for cruise ships offering itineraries across the Western Mediterranean, and homeport to the leading international cruise lines. Genoa is also a port of departure for repositioning cruises to and from the Americas and Northern Europe.

The Ponte dei Mille Cruise Terminal covers over 16,000 square meters (including the embarkation terraces) on three levels connected by escalators and lifts. The terminal can accommodate two large cruise vessels and up to 10,000 passengers a day. Stazioni Marittime features a quay 340 m in length capable of handling the latest generation of post-Panamax cruiseships, and an additional berth of 290 metres in length where works are underway for new quay development which is to be extended up to 376 metres.

The Ponte Andrea Doria Cruise Terminal has a total surface area of approximately 11,000 square metres on two floors and features two berths of 300 metres in length which can host the last generation of ships in full safety, and handle up to 8000 passengers/day.
