Port of Savona
The Port of Savona has successfully capitalised upon its experience inherited from an age-long seafaring tradition developing across 2,000 years of history.
Today, the old docks alongside the city centre are dedicated to tourism, cruise and pleasure sailing activities, whilst the recent deep-sea quays accommodate a selection of modern multi-purpose terminals catering for a wide range of commodities: ro/ro, dry bulk, general cargo, containers.
Savona has consolidated its position as a strategic hub for the Motorways of the Sea services across the Mediterranean, offering connections to Spain, North Africa, Middle and Far East and America.
The Port of Savona is currently the focus of a sizable investment programme to boost its competitive edge on an international scale and to reduce the environmental impact of port operations.
