The Ansaldo Energia plant is located in Genoa Cornigliano and covers a total surface area of 10,500 sqm, including 3,800 sqm covered, reaching a height of approximately 26 metres. The facility was inaugurated on 16 June 2017 as a site for the assembly of gas turbines, such as the GT36 a next-generation maxi-turbine weighing 570 tonnes, and is equipped with overhead cranes with lifting capacities of up to 200 tonnes. In addition, Ansaldo has been awarded a concession for the use of the quay at the mouth of the Polcevera river, on the right orographic bank, of approximately 2,700 sqm, which it shares with Acciaierie d'Italia for the shipment of the Ansaldo Energia finished goods.
