Pilots
The Ports of Genoa and Savona offer marine pilot services 24 hours/day 365 days/year, obligatory for all vessels of over 500 dwt, to ensure the safe navigation of the ship. These functions are performed by the Corpo Piloti in the Port of Genoa and the Corporazione Piloti in the Port of Savona and Vado Ligure.

Towings
Towing services are crucial to the safe navigation of the ship as it sails into and out of the port. These functions are carried out in the Port of Genoa by Rimorchiatori Riuniti Porto di Genova and by Carmelo Noli in the Port of Savona.

Moorings
The mooring services provided are integral to the high standards of safety which the Port Authority ensures to all the ships calling at the port terminals. In the Port of Genoa these functions are performed by the Gruppo di Antichi Ormeggiatori and in the Port of Savona and Vado Ligure by the Gruppo Ormeggiatori del porto di Savona Vado e Imperia.

Boatmen
Boat services are common user services on offer 24 hours/day to ferry crew and passengers safely to/from on-shore facilities and vessles moored at sea. In the Port of Genoa these functions are performed by the Barcaioli delle Grazie and in the Port of Savona – Vado Ligure by Transmare.
