In accordance with its mission, the Western Ligurian Sea Port Authority has introduced an Environmental Policy aimed at harmonising the relationship between the port and the city, and chartered towards the sustainable development of all port activities, in the firm conviction that best environmental management practices provide an added competitive edge to the status of the port in international trade.
Prevention through water and air monitoring and waste management, as well as the protection of natural resources through the use of renewable sources and energy saving methods, represent the focal point of the Port Energy and Environment Management Plan.
