The logistic service provider Derrick, which operates container depots in the Genoa-Airport and Genoa-Bolzaneto areas, has announced a series of provisions aimed at minimising the disruption caused by the collapsed Morandi Bridge:
- As of Monday 17 September 2018, opening hours will be extended from 05:00 hrs to 21:00 hrs from Monday to Friday;
- 4.500 sqm of the Genoa-Airport box storage area will be used to provide an alternative route to heavy goods vehichles in/out of the Port of Genoa;
- The introduction of an App to optimise pre-gate procedures.
