Savona Auto Terminal cars to be handled at Vado Ligure reefer terminal in the forthcoming months

The Grimaldi Group fleet, which ships cars across the world, as of 1st December shifts its weekly service to the APM Terminals-operated Vado Ligure Reefer Terminal until 31 March 2019.

In response to the extensive damage caused by the violent sea storm which hit the Port of Savona on 29 October, a cooperation agreement has been signed by various terminal operators and the “Pippo Rebagliati” Dockers Cooperative.

The APM Terminals-operated Reefer Terminal in Vado Ligure has provided the Grimaldi Group with a 20,000 sqm-area until the completion of the restoration of the multilevel vehicle storage warehouse damaged by a major fire in Savona Terminal Auto. Instead, NYK vessels will continue to dock at the Port of Savona.
