The first edition of the China International Import Exhibition, the major event hosted in China’s global financial hub by the Ministry of Commerce and Shanghai’s Municipal Government, under the auspices of the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping, provided the dramatic backdrop to a top-level meeting between Bucci, Signorini and Giuseppe Zampini – CEO of Ansaldo Energia – and senior management of Shanghai Electric. Chen Ganjin, Vice President, and Yuan Jinhua, Vice President of the Shanghai Electric Power Generation Group, which holds a 40% stake in Ansaldo and has undersigned important cooperation agreements with Ansaldo Energia for the supply of gas turbine engines, were keen to learn more of the Ligurian capital’s chief assets: port and logistics, tourism and hi-tech, industries which are of strategic value to Genoa’s future local economic growth.
