The cranes were built by Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industries Co. Ltd (ZPMC), a subsidiary of China Communications Construction Company and one of the world’s largest manufacturers of port cranes and cargo-handling equipment. APM Terminals and Maersk have become one of ZPMC’s top clients and the Chinese manufacturer has opened its Italian headquarters in Vado. It was a remarkable sight to see the mammoth cranes being unloaded on Saturday afternoon with such precise choreography.
