2018 is poised to be another record year for the Ports of Genoa as the upward trend continues. In March the terminals handled a total of 236,144 teus, compared to 223,838 teus registered in last year’s corresponding period, a 5.5% increase in container traffic. Whilst a comparison of the first quarter of the year points to a 9.2% gain: 664,222 teus moved in 2018 against the 608,430 teus reported in 2017..The Ports of Genoa have posted their best all-time month of March and first quarter of the year for container shipments in the ports’ history.
