Maiden call of the new MD1 Service at SECH Terminal

Inaugural vessel of the new MD1 Service from the Far East, operated by THE Alliance of Hapag-Lloyd, ONE and Yang Ming Line, docks at the Port of Genoa.

6 November 2018 - The first containership of the new MD1 Service to call at SECH Terminal is the 8,500-TEU MV Kuala Lumpur Express.  The Alliance resumed its Asia-Mediterranean MD1 service, with Genoa as the only Italian port of call, and deploys ten 8,500-TEU ships with a weekly rotation. The service focuses primarily on exports from the Med to the Far East and offers competitive transit times.
The new service rotation includes the Ports of Barcelona, ​​Valencia, Tangier, Genoa, Damietta, Singapore, Hong Kong, Qingdao, Busan, Shanghai, Ningbo, Shenzhen (Shekou) and Singapore.
