Ship Demolition: the San Giorgio del Porto Shipyard listed amongst the finest in the EU

The San Giorgio del Porto Shipyard, owned by the GIN holding (Genova Industrie Navali, a Garrè, Bisagno and Negri partnership), has been registered in the EU’s prestigious list of shipbreakers certified, on the basis of the Ship Recycling Regulation requirements of 2013, as fully compliant with the strict environmental and safety standards set by the European Union.

The Genoa-based shipyard, after having filed an application to the European Commission, was listed in the register and to date, ranks as the only Italian ship recycling facility authorized by the EU, alongside shipyards located in Denmark, Finland, Turkey and the US.
