The Port of Genoa's Terminal San Giorgio inaugurates a new automated gate designed to ease congestion and improve heavy vehicle access in/out the terminal facilities. Equipped with two 300-metre auxiliary storage lanes and three entrance and two exit lanes, the terminal gate can cater for all commodity sectors, ranging from containers to ro-ro and heavy-lift and oversize cargo.

4 October 2022 - The flagship purpose-built semi-submersible vessel, YACHT SERVANT, operated by DYT Superyacht Transport of the Spliethoff Group, called at the IMT-Messina Terminal in Genoa on her maiden voyage from Italy. The newbuild heavy-load carrier is scheduled to offer a regular liner service between the Mediterranean and the Caribbean, with Genoa, assisted by the Multimarine Services shipping agency of the Finsea Group, reconfirmed as the main DYT hub in Europe and in the Med.

With the installation of the deck, the final highly challenging phases of the on-site delivery of the new Pionieri e Aviatori d'Italia Viaduct, across via Siffredi between Cornigliano and Sestri Ponente, reached its conclusion at 5am Wednesday morning 28 September. By the end of the year, the new facility is scheduled to open to heavy vehicles to/from the Port of Genoa without the weight restrictions prescribed by the previous bridge.

27 September 2022 - Genoa was selected as the destination for a full two-day study tour programme on the part of the CEA, the French Alternative Energies and Atomic Energy Commission, one of Europe’s leading players in technological research in low carbon energies.
