The Ambassador of the United States of America to Italy, Lewis Eisenberg, met with the President of the Western Ligurian Sea Port Authority, Paolo Emilio Signorini, on his first official visit to Genoa. The topics addressed during the meeting included port development programmes and plans.

Costa Fortuna has made its first stopover in Genoa, where it will call every Friday on its 1-week cruises in the western Mediterranean. A total of 40 calls are scheduled, carrying 170,000 passengers.
