Genoa's New Breakwater's first floating caisson near completion, The New Open-Sea Breakwater takes shape as the fast-paced construction of the caissons takes off, with the near-completion of the first of 100 caissons set to form the 6,200 metre port facility.
Each reinforced-concrete cellular box is built in an ascending sequence, and the fabrication of the upper part of the first caisson is now visible on board the "Dario" floating dock positioned in the Port of Vado Ligure. A team of 40 highly skilled workers and engineers has been assigned to this phase of on-site construction activities, and construction works proceed in compliance with the project timeline.
