Today the Port Authority President, Paolo Emilio Signorini, welcomed the newly appointed Italian Vice Minister for Infrastructure and Sustainable Mobility, Alessandro Morelli, to the Port of Genoa. Their meeting focused upon the range of major infrastructure works underway, including Genoa's new planned breakwater, instrumental in consolidating the competitive edge, not only of the Ligurian seaports, but also of the Italian and Central European local economy
"Genoa is the maritime gateway into and out of Europe", declared the Vice Minister.
