Andrea Calcagno
Chief Director of the Port of Genoa Territorial Office
An education in Classical Studies, a degree in Law (110/110) and a Master’s degree in International Relations at the LUISS University in Rome, Andrea Calcagno has also conducted management courses and lectures, and coordinated EU project working groups.
He is a Member of the Sovereign Order of Malta. An Officer of the Italian Coast Guard for nearly 20 years, Andrea Calcagno held senior posts in port-maritime, environment and legal administration, in research and auditing, and he served as Assistant to the Maritime Director of Liguria.
In 2011 he was appointed Chief Director of Land Management of the former Port Authority of Genoa and during his seven-year mandate he oversaw the major port terminal and industry concessions and port environmental management activities.
In January 2018 Andrea Calcagno was nominated Chief Director of the Port of Genoa Territorial Office of the newly established Port Authority of the Western Ligurian Sea.
