6 November 2018 - The first containership of the new MD1 Service to call at SECH Terminal is the 8,500-TEU MV Kuala Lumpur Express. The Alliance resumed its Asia-Mediterranean MD1 service, with Genoa as the only Italian port of call, and deploys ten 8,500-TEU ships with a weekly rotation. The service focuses primarily on exports from the Med to the Far East and offers competitive transit times.
The new service rotation includes the Ports of Barcelona, Valencia, Tangier, Genoa, Damietta, Singapore, Hong Kong, Qingdao, Busan, Shanghai, Ningbo, Shenzhen (Shekou) and Singapore.
