Dockers and specialised technicians join forces to unload a 450-tonne crane, owned by Vernazza Autogru, shipped from Bulgaria to Reefer Terminal Vado Ligure.
It was a remarkable sight to see a 450-tonne heavy-weight piece of cargo handled along the Reefer Terminal quay. The crane, owned by the Ligurian company Vernazza Autogru, is 18 metres long and the central rubber-tyred corps alone weighs 96 tonnes. This is not the first collaboration between the Italian leader in hoisting equipment and the APM Terminals-operated Reefer Terminal. In fact, a mammoth self-propelled rail-mounted crane, with a lifting capacity up to 1200 tonnes, was disembarked last winter in Vado Ligure, assembled from almost 100 parts.
