The new MSC Cruises flagship is scheduled to call in Genoa every Sunday throughout the summer.
Genoa, 14 March 2019 - MSC Bellissima, the second and largest Meraviglia-class ship to date, docked in Genoa on her Italian maiden call. The new flagship of the MSC Cruise fleet is scheduled to homeport in Genoa every Sunday during its inaugural season sailing western Medi-terranean itineraries. The ship is 315 metres long, up to 65 metres high and can accommodate 5,700 passengers and 1,500 crew members.
With the advent of MSC Bellissima, the Geneva-based cruise liner is set to strengthen the Ligu-rian capital’s position as one of the Med’s leading turnaround ports, bringing to four the number of ships in Genoa per week, for a total of 40,000 passengers. In fact, this year MSC Cruises plans to cross the 1 million-passenger throughput threshold in Genoa.
