The Ambassador of the United States of America to Italy, Lewis Eisenberg, met with the President of the Western Ligurian Sea Port Authority, Paolo Emilio Signorini, on his first official visit to Genoa. The topics addressed during the meeting included port development programmes and plans.
26 April 2019 - The discussions held were highly productive and stimulating as Ambassador Eisenberg was also able to draw on his past invaluable experience as former Chairman of the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey. During his visit, the US Ambassador underlined the importance of keeping the focus on economic sustainability and the principles of a free market economy in world trade.
