H.E. Don Sergio Romero, the Ambassador of Chile, paid a visit to Palazzo San Giorgio to discuss with the Port President Signorini the prospects for future growth in trade between the South American country and Italy.
Genoa, 25 November 2019 - The Ambassador was accompanied by Pedro Gonzalez, Consul General of Chile in Milan, Felipe Repetto of the Trade Department of Chile and the Consul of Genoa, Gian Luca Kenzo Chiavari. The groundwork has been laid for a further boost to traffic between the Ports of Genoa and the Ports of Valparaiso and San Antonio, and both sides pledge their support to exploring the possibility of organizing a Chilean trade mission to Northern Italy towards the end of 2020.
The meeting was followed by a guided boat tour of the port facilities in the Sampierdarena basin and an inspection of the PSA Genova Prà flagship container terminal which, at the time, was serving three ULCSs simultaneously.
