Since 1921 the Messina Group has long-established experience in the ship maintenance and reconversion industry, and since 2005, with the acquisition of the Gardella Gino Srl shipyard located in the heart of Genoa's dry dock area, the company has been investing heavily and operating successfully in the yachting business, under the new name of GB Shipyard Srl.

Covering a surface area of approximately 7000 sqm, the site features a variety of sheds for a total of 1500 sqm, offering boat storage services for yachts up to 30 metres and a 1500-sqm yard alongside the quay line, and an additional 1000 sqm dedicated to yacht refitting services. The sheds sit alongside an all-purpose 100-metre quay, equipped with water/electricity supply columns. The quay extension towards the sea has been installed with a 110-ton travel lift for hauling and launching vessels, and an extensive selection of 15,30,80-ton lifting capacity forklifts serve the vessels in the indoor and outdoor areas. An off-shore 50-metre quay for yachts up to 60 metres offers water/electricity supply columns. The shipyard is monitored 24h/day by CCTV cameras and security guard surveillance by night.

The sheds offer a full range of dedicated workshops providing customised wood, mechanical, iron and hydraulic works, in addition to high-quality finish for all coating needs, and catering for all ship maintenance and reconversion delivery programmes, with a team of skilled craftsmen.
